We’re bringing you a taste of the International Women’s Day Soirée! The amazing team at Naked Wines kindly provided a beautiful selection of wines for guests to enjoy at this year’s #IWDSoirée. From celebratory bubbles to crisp rosés, learn more about the beautiful selection of six wines served on the night as well as being introduced to the winemakers behind each wine. You may even be tempted to snap up a bottle for yourself to enjoy at home or for a special occasion.

About Jen Pfeiffer – With the help of funding from Naked Wines, Jen is making wines the way she wants. This is a huge win for all involved, since Jen took home the Wine Society's Young Winemaker of the Year Sommelier's Choice Award in 2009! Before she made wines for Naked, Jen earned her family's winery a 5 Star rating from James Halliday and her meticulous approach ensures she will bring the very best out of all the grapes that she works with.
About the wine - The Rebel Bubbles is the ultimate party starter! Beautiful aromas of citrus and peach fruit abound, with a delicious creamy palate and a crisp and refreshing finish. A classic blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, this wine has the perfect balance of fruit, sweetness and acidity that makes it so very hard to resist.

Feet on the Ground Pinot Grigio 2020 By Paige McArdle
About Paige McArdle – Paige is a shining example of today’s young winemaking talent. In 2017, her first Rose made the list of Hot 100 Wines in South Australia. Her wines sing of the land where the grapes were grown - well-managed sustainable vineyards the popular Murray Darling wine region. Delicious and with vegan credentials to boot, they represent incredible value for money!

About Jodie - Jodie and her husband Damien have honed their craft at a wide array of Hunter Valley based wineries - think Brokenwood, McGuigans, Briar Ridge and Wandin Valley. They also picked up amazing old world vintage experience in Campania, Italy. The first ever Semillon the pair produced in 2010 won both best current vintage Semillon and current vintage white wine at the Hunter Valley Wine Show!
About the wine - White wine lovers are in for a tantalising experience with Hunter Vally experts Fuzzy & May. Their experience comes from top local wineries like Brokenwood, McGuigan and Briar Ridge. Hand-crafted from premium grapes from local growers, this lighter style is more like a cool-climate Chardonnay — tantalisingly crisp and modern, with an unmistakable hint of spice, nutmeg and cashew. Delicious!

About Claudia Small – Claudia and her husband Bill embody the down to earth, family spirit that has driven Naked from the get go! Truthful and fun feedback from real people around Australia drinking their lovingly crafted wines is a huge thrill for the pair. The speed of member reviews allows them to tailor each vintage or hone in on little gold dust discoveries along the way. Their passionate work ethic combined with Naked Wines’ Angel member backing has allowed the pair to become their own bosses; vital when balancing their vineyard & family time.
About the wine - This wine combines grapes from two of the areas most renowned sub-regions, the Awatere and Wairau Valleys in New Zealand. Cool fermenting helped retain the hallmark vibrant aromas and flavours of Marlborough fruit. Citrus and melon aromas leap from the glass before the crisp and dry palate delights with lively fruit layers. This baby is utterly drinkable...sunshine in a bottle!
Food match - Lovely with shellfish - clams, oysters, mussels etc, but just as nice on its own as an aperitif.
Boy Meets Girl Pink Moscato 2020 By Adrian & Rebecca Santolin
About Rebecca – Boy (Adrian) meets Girl (Rebecca) are on the ride of their lives raising their family while living and breathing their other passion - wine! The pair have been involved in winemaking for over 15 years and always dreamt of making their own wine. Their wine is dedicated to their family, and of course any Angel who has helped make it all possible. In just 8 high-paced years, the couple have gone from producing a handful of Pinot Noir cases to quenching the thirst of 1000's of people around the country. Since 2012, they've sold more than 2 million bottles and won 10 trophies, 47 Gold medals, 53 Silver medals and 120 Bronze. Wow!
About the wine - Think fairy floss and pink grapefruit teamed with hints of rose petal and musk and you'll start to get an idea of how beautiful this wine smells. A touch of fizz tops it all off! This is a refreshing, sweeter style of wine with fruit flavours of strawberries, nectarines and limes, all combining to create a low alcohol, easy drinking vino that your crowd will be diving over each other to re-fill with.
Food match - Brilliant on ice with summer berries, a squeeze of lime and a sprig of mint. Delicious with a summer berry fruit platter.

About the wine - Australian Rosé has been forging ahead in leaps and bounds and Rob has delivered a delightfully crisp Provence style of this classic summer wine, using local Sangiovese and Nero d’Avola grapes. Riverina fruit from an outstanding vintage has given this wine its seductive notes of strawberries and cream with red berries and a floral hint. Fresh and dry on the tongue, the raspberry and cherry flavours mingle with more subtle savoury characters.
