Your Guide to Palm Springs With Louvelle
We recently chatted with one of our favourite Female Founders, Simone from Louvelle Showerwear, about the latest Louvelle campaign and her new range of must-have showerwear accessories. Inspired by old Hollywood glamour, the campaign was shot in an historic estate in Palm Springs, California. As well as stunning imagery from her new campaign, Simone shared with us her top things to do while visiting Palm Springs.
"I recently travelled to Palm Springs, California and it is a destination that I definitely want to return to. I was captivated by the unique landscape – the desert surrounded by palm trees and mountains. The Mid-Century design and the landscape architecture is such a unique feature of homes in this area. It feels as though one is stepping back in time."
These are Simone's top things to do in Palm Springs:
1. Get Pampered at La Quinta Day Spa
Check in to a day spa for some holiday pampering. Simone recommends the spa at La Quinta with its extensive range of skincare treatments and wellness rituals. You might even spot some Louvelle products on your visit!
2. Tour Palm Springs' Iconic Mid-Century Homes
Palm Springs is famous for its colourful Mid-Century Modern homes. Explore Palm Springs' iconic architecture (and its most Instagrammable spots) with the Mid-Century Modern home tours during Modernism Week. You can also do the do-it-yourself Coloured Doors Tour all year round.
3. Brunch At Norma's
Set in the very cool Parker Palm Springs, Norma's is a brightly coloured open-air terrace restaurant that serves breakfast all day and all night. While you're there, why not book a stay and enjoy all that this very cool hotel has to offer?
4. Explore the desert hiking trails
The Palm Springs region is home to some amazing desert landscapes. Explore the region by hiking one of the many trails in the Coachella Valley and Joshua Tree National Park.
5. Attend The Coachella Music Festival
If you ever find yourself planning a trip to Palm Springs in April, and love live music, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is a must. Known for attracting some of the biggest artists in the world, recent headliners have included Beyonce and Radiohead. The event is so popular that it's now held on two separate weekends in April.
